About this role
An Anesthesia Technician II role at AdventHealth Heart of Florida supports anesthesia providers and OR/Cath lab/IR lab operations at the Davenport, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and respond to alarms on anesthesia delivery systems and related equipment across OR, Cath lab, and IR lab settings
- Set up procedure rooms with laryngoscopes, intubation equipment, IV solutions, tubing, warming devices, and specialized units such as fiber optic endoscopes and rapid infusion devices
- Assist anesthesia providers with patient assessment, monitoring, transport, positioning, IV and invasive line insertion, and airway management
- Inventory, order, and manage departmental supply stock; ensure medications are secured, properly disposed of, and refrigerator stock is monitored
- Provide training and orientation to new and existing staff for routine and complex cases; support development of departmental competency programs
- Participate in blood component verification and maintain an organized anesthesia environment to support efficient case flow
### What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an anesthesia technician (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required)
- Knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique and supply sterility standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
