About this role

AdventHealth DeLand is hiring a full-time Emergency Department RN for the mid shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) at their hospital in DeLand, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans for ED patients. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols and patient safety standards. - Coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists. - Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on outcomes and responses. - Lead discharge planning and facilitate smooth transitions from the ED to home or another care setting. - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - BLS certification required; ACLS and CEN preferred. - Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing with ED-specific competencies. - At least 1 year of 12-lead EKG experience required; 1+ year of acute hospital experience preferred. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, make independent decisions under pressure, and maintain composure in high-acuity environments. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53 – $52.24 (approximately $65,582 – $108,659 annually). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth DeLand is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states.
