About this role

A Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) joins the Med-Surg unit at AdventHealth Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills, Florida, working 6:00 AM–6:30 PM day shifts under the direction of a registered nurse. ### What you'll do - Perform patient care treatments per policy, adapted to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs. - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and support quality improvement initiatives. - Follow isolation protocols, use personal protective equipment correctly, and enforce safety regulations. - Document and report all procedures and observations in accordance with department policy. - Assist in obtaining nursing histories and communicate abnormal findings to the registered nurse. - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff throughout the shift. ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Active BLS/CPR certification (required). - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (required). - 1+ years of PCT experience (preferred). - Prior bedside care experience in an acute care unit, or experience as a unit secretary or monitor technician (preferred). ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Zephyrhills is a faith-based acute care hospital located at 7050 Gall Blvd in Zephyrhills, FL 33541, part of the AdventHealth system serving Central Florida.
