Senior Surgery Scheduler (Outpatient Clinics)

A Senior Surgery Scheduler at AdventHealth supports surgical case coordination across outpatient clinics in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Coordinate the scheduling of surgical procedures to optimize operating room time and resource utilization - Monitor and report on block time utilization, providing monthly and on-demand OR schedule reports - Serve as the primary resource for scheduling-related questions and conflicts within the surgical unit - Collaborate with surgeon offices to ensure accurate case scheduling and communicate surgeon preferences to the scheduling team - Coordinate patient arrival times and case details with ancillary departments including pre-surgery clinic, ACC, PACU, and Radiology - Input patient financial and demographic information accurately for registration and scheduling purposes ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred - Minimum 3 years of surgery scheduling or directly related experience required (5+ years preferred) - Ability to communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to resolve scheduling conflicts - Familiarity with OR scheduling systems and block time management - Strong organizational skills and adherence to established scheduling protocols ### What's included - Pay range: $38,251–$61,214 annually ($18.39–$29.43/hr) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating more than 50 hospital campuses across the United States.
