About this role

AdventHealth Centra Care in Tampa, Florida is hiring a full-time Basic X-Ray Machine Operator to support radiologic services at its Citrus Park urgent care clinic. ### What you'll do - Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and position them for x-rays of specific body parts as ordered by the physician. - Set up, operate, and adjust radiographic equipment; select appropriate ionizing factors for each study. - Process film and evaluate images for diagnostic clarity, retaking exposures when necessary. - Maintain x-ray film files, patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports. - Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure equipment meets state regulations and company standards. - Stock radiology and medical supplies, rotate film stock, and verify charge accuracy on procedure slips. ### What we're looking for - Active Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) certification — required. - Current BLS/CPR certification — required. - High school diploma or equivalent — required; Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited program — preferred. - At least 1 year of basic x-ray operator experience — preferred. - Willingness to float to other AdventHealth Medical Group practices as needed. - Strong English communication skills — reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. ### What's included - Sign-on bonus up to $10,000. - Pay range: $19.23–$30.77/hour ($40,000–$64,002 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one and four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - CME and career development resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Centra Care Citrus Park is part of AdventHealth's network of urgent care clinics serving the greater Tampa Bay area.
