AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit on a weekend night shift in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care across the care continuum.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); additional unit-specific certifications may apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- EKG competency per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
