About this role
AdventHealth Heart of Florida is hiring a PRN Ultrasound Technologist at its Davenport, Florida campus to perform diagnostic sonography across a range of exam types.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams following provider orders and departmental protocols, optimizing image quality for radiologist interpretation.
- Verify patient identity, confirm exam appropriateness, and obtain clinical history before each scan.
- Position patients and manipulate transducers and technical factors to acquire optimal images, waveforms, and Doppler data across all patient age groups.
- Document accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR and PACS systems, including completing the sonographer worksheet to support radiologist review.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care and appropriate imaging.
- Maintain exam room readiness, perform routine equipment safety checks, and sterilize transducers per infection control standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active registry in at least one of the following: RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB/GYN, RVT, RVS, RT(VS)(ARRT), RMSKS, RDMS-PS, or RT(BS)(ARRT).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Solid working knowledge of ultrasound physics, cross-sectional and vascular anatomy, and Doppler techniques.
- Proficiency with PACS and radiology software; basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong patient communication skills across all age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients.
- 1+ year of ultrasound experience preferred; specialized experience in breast, prostate, vascular, pediatric, or neuro sonography is a plus.

- Hourly pay range: $27.67–$51.47 (annualized approximately $57,554–$107,058 based on 2,080 hours).
