About this role
AdventHealth Lake Wales is hiring a PRN CT Technologist to perform diagnostic computed tomography exams at its hospital campus in Lake Wales, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality CT examinations following provider orders and departmental protocols to support accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and administer IV contrast material, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and maintain ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications before scanning.
- Operate CT scanners, injectors, and 3D workstations; adapt protocols for patients across all age groups.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems throughout each exam.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- ARRT Radiography (RT(R)) certification required; ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of radiology experience with completion of a CT training program preferred.
- Proficiency with PACS, EMR systems, and basic IV placement.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, cardiac and vascular imaging, and radiation safety protocols.
### What's included
- Hourly pay range: $27.67–$51.47 (approximately $57,554–$107,058 annualized at 2,080 hours).
- PRN/per-diem schedule with day-shift availability.
