About this role
AdventHealth Lake Wales is hiring a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures at its hospital campus in Lake Wales, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures with proficiency in camera acquisition and computer processing, evaluating images for technical and diagnostic quality.
- Prepare, aseptically administer, and document radionuclide data in the Nuclear Medicine Information System and Order Communication System.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other providers to ensure appropriate imaging protocols and continuity of patient care.
- Confirm patient and exam accuracy prior to each procedure and verify physician requests meet clinically valid indicator requirements.
- Maintain room readiness, monitor equipment function, and submit work order requests for any malfunctions.
- Release images for interpretation only after confirming proper patient and exam assignment; notify appropriate personnel for after-hours transmissions.
### What we're looking for
- Active ARRT registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (R.T.(N)(ARRT)) **or** CNMT certification — required.
- BLS/CPR certification — required.
- Knowledge of scintigraphic equipment, acquisition computers, processing stations, and hot lab equipment.
- Ability to apply radiation safety principles (time, distance, shielding) to maintain ALARA exposure levels.
- Proficiency or ability to learn radiology software including Cerner, Radworks, and PACS.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field — preferred.

- Hourly pay range: $27.67 – $51.47 (approximately $57,554 – $107,058 annualized at 2,080 hours).
