AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse specializing in Sexual Assault Forensic Nursing at its campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for patients presenting after sexual assault.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and current standards of forensic nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote recovery and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff, law enforcement liaisons, and ancillary departments to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure continuity.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kansas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
- Fluency in English with proficient verbal, written, and computer navigation skills.

- Hourly pay range of $32.50–$60.45 (annualized approximately $67,600–$125,700 based on hours worked as PRN).
