About this role

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a part-time Associate Clinical Chaplain to deliver spiritual and emotional care to patients, families, and staff at its hospital campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Provide religious and spiritual care to patients, families, and associates experiencing emotional or spiritual distress - Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized spiritual care plans - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care into overall treatment plans - Facilitate spiritual rituals and practices and offer guidance during critical moments and life transitions - Consult on ethical concerns related to spiritual care and document interventions for continuity of care - Offer training to staff on culturally sensitive spiritual care practices ### What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in theology, spiritual care, or pastoral ministry (required); Master's degree preferred - Minimum 1 unit of ACPE, Inc.-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (required); 2 units preferred - 1+ year of pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience preferred - Ordained Minister (ORDM) or Commissioned Minister Credential preferred - Ecclesiastical Endorsement Certificate preferred - Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) credential preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $41,608–$77,390 per year (part-time, prorated accordingly) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a faith-based hospital located at 9100 W 74th St in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, operating under the AdventHealth system's mission of wholistic, ministry-centered care.
