About this role
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a full-time Radiology Technologist on an Interventional Radiology (IR) track at its hospital campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures, positioning patients and selecting technical factors to produce high-quality images meeting department standards.
- Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment safely, applying ALARA principles of time, distance, and shielding for patients and staff.
- Monitor patient condition, assist with transport, and maintain comfort, safety, and privacy throughout procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems with correct patient demographics and exam information.
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment current with routine cleaning and safety checks.
- Cross-train into advanced modalities, including IR, Surgery, and Trauma imaging as needed.
### What we're looking for
- ARRT registration in Radiography — RT(R)(ARRT) required.
- BLS/CPR certification (adult, child, and infant) required.
- 1+ year of radiologic technology experience, or graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Proficiency with radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment; knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and patient positioning.
- Ability to use radiology software platforms such as Cerner, Radnet, and PACS.
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
### What's included
- Pay range: $21.82–$40.59/hr (~$45,386–$84,427 annualized).
