About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse to join its Neuro Operating Room RN Training Program (ORNIP) — July Cohort at the Ginsburg Tower campus in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Scrub and circulate for neurosurgical cases, preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies while maintaining sterility in the surgical field
- Monitor and assess patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively
- Perform time-out procedures, verifying patient identity, surgical site, and consent prior to each case
- Participate in counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments to ensure patient safety
- Manage specimen collection, labeling, and handling per AdventHealth policy
- Ensure safe handoff communications and accurate documentation between care team members
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required)
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a specialty clinical area preferred (OR, ICU, ED, or comparable setting)
- Background in an accredited CVT, Radiologic Technology, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapy program considered
- Demonstrated competency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
