About this role

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is hiring a full-time Transport Coordinator RN for nights at its hospital in Wesley Chapel, Florida. ### What you'll do - Coordinate patient placement and inter-facility transfers using complex acuity algorithms to triage requests and ensure appropriate level of care - Evaluate bed availability across the system and develop contingency plans to maintain uninterrupted admissions and transfers - Maintain accurate documentation of transfer processes in electronic systems to meet regulatory compliance and patient safety standards - Coordinate placement and transportation for psychiatric patients, verifying that all legal documentation is complete prior to transfer - Verify insurance benefits for all incoming patients and collaborate with Patient Access and Patient Financial Services on the verification process - Train and mentor new staff, participate in departmental meetings, and maintain current knowledge of operational processes ### What we're looking for - Active Florida RN license (required) - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred) - Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (required); ICU or Emergency Department experience of 3+ years preferred - Transfer center or patient placement experience preferred - Behavioral health patient placement experience preferred - BLS, CEN, or ACNS-BC certification preferred ### What's included - Compensation: $32.76–$57.47/hr ($68,141–$119,538 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based nonprofit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care. The Transport Coordinator role sits within the Mission Control department, which oversees system-wide patient flow and capacity management. This night-shift position follows a Panama schedule (2 on/2 off, 3 on/2 off, 2 on/3 off) with shifts running 6:00 pm to 6:30 am.
