About this role

AdventHealth South Orlando is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at 601 East Rollins Street, Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - BLS/CPR certification required. - CCNS certification preferred. - At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - EKG competency and strong abstract reasoning skills to assess patients and revise care plans. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.53–$52.24/hour (~$65,582–$108,659 annually). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid Time Off from Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth South Orlando is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
