About this role

AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a PRN Outpatient Surgery Critical Care RN for its facility in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses. - Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders, maintaining patient safety and protocol adherence. - Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions in the Pre-Op and PACU settings, adjusting care plans to optimize outcomes. - Interpret EKGs appropriate to the patient population and respond to changes in clinical status. - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record (Cerner/EPIC). - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Current BLS/CPR certification. - Prior Pre-Op or PACU experience in a specialty area. - Critical care clinical skills as defined by unit competency requirements. - Strong EKG interpretation knowledge; completion of a formal EKG Interpretation course preferred. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53 – $52.24 (annualized approximately $65,582 – $108,659 based on 2,080 hours). - PRN schedule with daytime shifts. - Access to AdventHealth's team member support resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Ocala is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
