About this role
AdventHealth Centra Care in Port Orange, Florida is hiring a full-time Basic X-Ray Machine Operator to support urgent care operations at its Dunlawton Avenue location.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and implement infection control protocols in the work area
- Select ionizing factors, adjust radiographic controls, and position patients to capture diagnostic x-rays as ordered by the treating physician
- Process film and evaluate x-ray images for clarity, retaking images when quality standards are not met
- Maintain x-ray film files, patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports in an accurate and organized manner
- Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure the x-ray unit meets regulatory and company standards
- Float to other FHMG practices as needed based on patient volume and staffing requirements
### What we're looking for
- Valid Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited program (preferred)
- At least 1 year of basic x-ray operator experience (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively to meet job requirements

- Hourly pay range: $19.23–$40.09 (approximately $39,998–$83,387 annualized)
