Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Respiratory Therapist Nights Tampa

AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time Night Shift NICU Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced neonatal and pediatric respiratory care at their Tampa, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Assess, stabilize, and treat neonatal and pediatric patients using protocols established for respiratory services, including managing conventional and non-conventional mechanical ventilation - Perform hemodynamic procedures including arterial line assembly and calibration, pulmonary artery catheter assistance, and arterial/venous cannulation (radial artery, umbilical artery, umbilical vein) - Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and co-oximetry findings; initiate, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators - Respond to Code Blue emergencies, delivering CPR and providing advanced airway management and procedural respiratory support - Deliver respiratory therapies including nitric oxide, heliox, non-invasive bilevel, high-flow oxygen, and oscillatory chest physiotherapy - Precept new orientee staff, serve as a clinical resource for lower-level therapists, and consult for Pediatric Emergency Department respiratory patients ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Science (Bachelor's preferred) - Current Florida RRT license and graduation from an NBRC-accredited Respiratory Care program - NBRC Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialty credential (CRT-NPS) required - BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required - Minimum 2 years of neonatal and/or pediatric critical care clinical experience in an acute care setting - Advanced competency in neonatal/pediatric oscillator management, proning protocols, and endotracheal intubation ### What's included - Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 - Relocation assistance up to $10,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is a full-service acute care hospital located at 3100 E Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health networks in the country.
