Certified Patient Care Tech

A Certified Patient Care Technician supports bedside patient care under registered nurse direction at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments per policy, delivering age-, mobility-, acuity-, and culture-appropriate care - Assist the RN team with direct patient care and participate in obtaining nursing histories, reporting abnormalities promptly - Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy - Follow isolation protocols, use personal protective equipment correctly, and enforce safety regulations - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and support quality improvement initiatives ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following certifications: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - 1+ year of PCT experience (preferred) - Previous bedside or acute-care experience — unit secretary, monitor tech, or equivalent — (preferred) - Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members ### What's included - Compensation: $15.31–$24.49/hr (~$31,845–$50,939 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health support resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Heart of Florida is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network committed to whole-person care in body, mind, and spirit.
