About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a new graduate Registered Nurse for its Summer Nurse Residency program, a full-time night-shift position at the acute care facility in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform timely, comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-range goals, modifying them as patient conditions evolve.
- Interpret diagnostic data — including lab results, non-invasive monitoring, and interdisciplinary notes — relative to patient age and condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, including structured hourly rounding.
- Adhere to regulatory standards, infection prevention protocols, and medication safety requirements.
- Participate in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and required continuing education.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Associate of Nursing (required); Bachelor of Nursing (preferred).
- New RN graduate or RN with fewer than 12 months of clinical experience.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required within 6 months of hire; current BLS preferred at time of offer).
- EKG competency (based on unit requirement).
- Prior experience as a CNA, Student Nurse Tech, Triage Tech, or EMT in an acute care setting is preferred.
