Patient Access Representative PRN (as needed)

A Patient Access Representative (PRN) role at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Memorial in La Grange, Illinois, supporting front-end registration and insurance verification on a rotating as-needed basis. ### What you'll do - Complete patient registration accurately and courteously, capturing clinical and financial data in a timely manner - Verify and document insurance eligibility using electronic tools in accordance with established standards - Work daily assigned reports and cross-train in additional Patient Access functional areas - Conduct charge audits in collaboration with Health Information Management staff and Nurse Auditors to resolve discrepancies - Maintain patient confidentiality while ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the registration process ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - Prior office experience in a healthcare environment required - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and web-based tools preferred - Strong organizational, verbal communication, and customer relations skills - Epic EHR experience preferred - BLS/CPR and First Aid AED certification preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $16.97–$27.15/hour ($35,298–$56,472 annualized) - PRN schedule: rotating Saturday mornings plus availability for morning and evening weekday shifts as needed ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Memorial is a faith-based community hospital located at 5101 Willow Springs Road in La Grange, Illinois.
