About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for the Medical ICU at its Orlando, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and maintain effective communication across the care team.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- BLS (CPR) certification required; ACLS certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and abstract clinical reasoning skills.

AdventHealth Lake Nona operates a comprehensive network of care in Orlando, Florida, offering emergency services, urgent care, specialist medicine, imaging, orthopedics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation. A new 60-acre health and wellness campus is scheduled to open in late 2026, expanding the system's capacity for next-generation whole-person care. The Medical ICU team works within a faith-based, mission-driven health system with a strong emphasis on staff development and community health.
