Patient Care Tech Med/Surg Pulmonary

A Patient Care Technician supports a Med/Surg Pulmonary unit at AdventHealth Tampa in Tampa, Florida, delivering direct patient care under registered nurse supervision. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments per policy, providing age-, mobility-, acuity-, and culturally-appropriate patient care - Assist with nursing history intake and report abnormalities to the supervising RN - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and support quality improvement initiatives - Follow isolation protocols, use protective equipment correctly, and enforce safety regulations - Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - 1+ year of PCT experience (preferred) - Prior bedside care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, or monitor technician role (preferred) - Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members ### What's included - Compensation: $15.87–$25.38/hr ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is a faith-based, not-for-profit hospital located at 3100 E Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL 33613, part of the AdventHealth system.
