About this role
AdventHealth Avista is hiring a part-time night-shift Registered Nurse to join the inpatient nursing team at its hospital in Louisville, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and maintain effective communication.
- Respond promptly to code situations, provide stabilizing interventions, and supervise or delegate tasks to healthcare team members.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- One or more years of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and clinical problem-solving skills.
- EKG competency and ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs.
