About this role
A Patient Attendant role on the night shift at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois, providing continuous bedside observation and safety support for inpatient patients with complex psychosocial needs.
### What you'll do
- Remain at the bedside of assigned patients at all times, providing continuous observation and safety monitoring
- Assist in calming and reorienting patients experiencing agitation or confusion
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to support progression-of-care and discharge planning
- Remove visible hazards and broken equipment from the immediate patient environment and report appropriately
- Record all patient observations accurately and promptly
- Support patients with complex psychosocial needs under the guidance of a Care Management mentor
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (preferred)
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Program certification (preferred)
- Prior healthcare or patient care work experience (preferred)
- Ability to work nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
