About this role
A full-time night-shift Emergency Department RN role at Texas Health Huguley Medical Center in Burleson, Texas, part of the AdventHealth system.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments — history, vital signs, physical exams — and develop individualized, SMART-goal-based care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team.
- Administer oral, IV, and IM medications and perform procedures including wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy per policy.
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge, including disease process, medications, and follow-up instructions.
- Document all assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other providers to ensure coordinated, continuous patient care across the shift.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and bedside shift reports to maintain safety and accountability.
### What we're looking for
- Active RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- At least 1 year of prior hospital or acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
