About this role
A Certified Patient Care Technician (Night Shift) supports ICU nursing teams at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform patient care treatments per policy, tailored to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs
- Assist the registered nurse in delivering bedside care and identifying patient needs across ICU departments
- Document and report all procedures and abnormal findings in accordance with department policy
- Participate in nursing history intake and communicate relevant observations to the RN
- Follow isolation protocols, use appropriate PPE, and enforce safety and handwashing standards
- Function appropriately during clinical emergencies and support performance improvement initiatives
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Current CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (one required)
- 1+ year of PCT or applicable bedside patient care experience (preferred)
- Prior experience in an acute care unit, as a unit secretary, or as a monitor technician (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
