About this role
AdventHealth Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time Emergency Technician II for a 12pm–12am night shift at its hospital in Zephyrhills, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, urinary catheter removal, dressing changes, splinting, accuchecks, nasogastric tube discontinuation, and IV catheter removal.
- Document patient care data — vital signs, intake and output, weights, activities of daily living, and specimen collection — in accordance with hospital policy.
- Maintain patient skin integrity through turning and repositioning, and communicate skin breakdown concerns to nursing staff.
- Transport patients, medical records, and equipment within scheduled timeframes, and assist with positioning, lifting, and ambulation using safety protocols.
- Support patient nutritional needs by providing liquids, assisting with meal setup, and feeding patients within prescribed restrictions.
- Receive shift-change reports from outgoing staff and deliver patient-centered care aligned with AdventHealth's mission and values.
### What we're looking for
- Active CNA, EMT, CPCT/A, CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required); OR current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with Nursing Fundamentals completed.
- BLS/CPR certification (required at time of hire).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred; required if holding a CNA or EMT license).
- Ability to perform all listed clinical procedures with or without reasonable accommodation.
