Consumer Access Specialist

A Consumer Access Specialist role at AdventHealth Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado, supporting patient registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling within a hospital setting. ### What you'll do - Register patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of medical records - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations within established timeframes - Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans - Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed - Manage communication across clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments to support the patient experience - Perform cashiering functions including collections and cash reconciliation ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred - 1+ year of experience in customer service, healthcare, or revenue cycle preferred - Basic to intermediate medical terminology knowledge - Familiarity with insurance benefits and hospital EMR systems - Adherence to CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA regulations - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; CHAA or CRCR certification a plus ### What's included - Pay range: $19.77–$31.64/hr ($41,122–$65,811 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Castle Rock is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
