A PRN Clinical Dietitian role at AdventHealth Central Texas, a faith-based health system, based in Killeen, Texas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, including anthropometric measurements, medical record review, and patient interviews to evaluate nutritional status.
- Analyze assessment data to identify nutrition risks, malnutrition criteria, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors.
- Develop and deliver nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals tailored to each patient's disease process and health literacy level.
- Place feeding tubes and perform indirect calorimetry studies as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings on assigned units and conduct meal test tray evaluations three times per month.
- Maintain and update nutrition care plans, reassess patients per established timeframes, and support complex discharge planning needs.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential (required).
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- Proficiency in the Nutrition Care Process as defined by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
- Competency with electronic health record systems and standard office software including Microsoft Office.
- Strong skills in estimating energy, macronutrient, micronutrient, and fluid requirements using comparative standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing clinical priorities.
### What's included
- Hourly pay range: $24.47–$45.50 (approximately $50,898–$94,640 annualized at 2,080 hours).
- PRN/per-diem scheduling with day shifts.
