Respiratory Therapist II Nights Tampa

AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist II for night shifts at its acute care hospital in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators using conventional and non-conventional modes, including advanced ventilator waveform interpretation and esophageal balloon manometry. - Perform comprehensive airway management: manual resuscitation, oral/nasal airway insertion, suctioning, extubation, tracheostomy tube changes, and de-cannulation. - Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and co-oximetry findings; apply inhaled nitric oxide and pulmonary vasodilator medications. - Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures, including equipment setup and maintenance. - Respond immediately to Code Blue emergencies, delivering CPR per American Heart Association guidelines. - Precept new orientees, drive process improvement initiatives, and serve as a clinical resource for lower-level therapists. ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science from an NBRC-accredited program. - Current Florida RRT license (Registered Respiratory Therapist). - BLS and ACLS certifications required. - Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting. - Demonstrated pediatric and neonatal critical care skills. - Proficiency in non-invasive therapies (BiPAP, high-flow, Heliox), capnography, and advanced tracheostomy care. ### What's included - Sign-on bonus up to $15,000. - Relocation assistance up to $10,000. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one. - Paid time off from day one plus 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is a full-service acute care hospital located at 3100 E Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health networks in the United States.
