About this role
A part-time night-shift RN is needed for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun, Georgia, working 2 nights per week (7p–7a) with rotating weekends.
### What you'll do
- Assess patients, formulate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, and document continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, following age-specific and protocol-based safety standards.
- Monitor patients using unit equipment including IV lines, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring devices.
- Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes and revise diagnoses, care plans, and goals as clinical status evolves.
- Supervise nursing assistants during routine care, patient transfers, ambulation, and emergency code situations.
- Provide and document patient and family education from admission through discharge, including medications, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); PALS and CNOR (preferred).
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and automated medication dispensing systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with the care team.
