About this role

A PRN Chaplain provides spiritual care and emotional support across AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray, two hospital campuses in northwest Georgia. ### What you'll do - Assess and address spiritual needs as part of holistic patient care and healing - Provide compassionate presence and emotional support to patients, families, and staff - Guide individuals through difficult decisions with ethical, spiritual, and emotional insight - Respond to emergencies such as code blues, supporting care teams and coordinating with families - Document chaplaincy care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams - Complete a minimum of two hours of on-site rounding at AdventHealth Gordon per shift, with remaining hours as on-call coverage for both campuses ### What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in spiritual care, arts, or equivalent from an accredited institution — OR — completion of deacon training and ordination (required) - Valid driver's license (required) - 1+ year of pastoral ministry experience (preferred) - Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) credential (preferred) - Ability to provide professional spiritual care to patients and families from diverse backgrounds - Residence within 30 minutes of AdventHealth Gordon and 40 minutes of AdventHealth Murray strongly encouraged ### What's included - Pay range: $25.13–$46.74/hr (~$52,270–$97,219 annualized) - PRN schedule covering primarily weekends, starting Fridays at 4 pm, with some weeknight shifts ### About the practice AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray are two community hospital campuses in Calhoun and Chatsworth, Georgia, operating under the AdventHealth system, a faith-based nonprofit health network. The system integrates spiritual care as a core component of patient healing and supports chaplains as full members of the interdisciplinary care team.
