Patient Sitter & Transporter PRN Night

AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a PRN Night Patient Sitter & Transporter at its 2500 Harbor Blvd facility in Port Charlotte, Florida. ### What you'll do - Monitor assigned patients continuously to ensure safety and a secure, clutter-free environment during overnight hours - Transport patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, and beds in a safe and comfortable manner - Assist with basic patient care tasks as directed by nursing staff - Communicate observations and patient status accurately — verbally and in writing — while maintaining documentation standards - Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, adhering to universal precautions and isolation protocols - Remain calm and focused during stressful or emotionally charged situations to support effective care delivery ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required) - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively - 1+ year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred) - 1+ year of experience as a patient sitter or psychiatric technician (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $15.15 – $22.73 per hour ($31,512 – $47,276 annualized) - PRN/per-diem scheduling on night shift ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Charlotte is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network committed to whole-person care.
