About this role
A full-time night-shift Registered Nurse position at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a hospital-based inpatient unit in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care, maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
- Respond promptly to code situations, supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members, and participate in performance improvement activities.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required.
- 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting — preferred.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and abstract reasoning skills to assess patients and revise care plans.
- EKG competency and additional certifications (TNCC, CCRN, CCNS, NRP, or others) may apply depending on unit assignment.
