About this role

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit on the day shift in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for ICU patients. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kansas. - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required. - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). - EKG competency and advanced life support credentials per unit requirements. - CCNS, CCRN-E, TNCC, or other critical care certifications (preferred). ### What's included - $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. - Hourly pay range: $32.50–$60.45 (approximately $67,600–$125,736 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development programs and whole-person well-being resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a faith-based, mission-driven hospital serving the greater Kansas City metro area from its Shawnee Mission campus.
