About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant supports a urology clinic at AdventHealth's Palm Harbor, Florida location, working Monday through Friday on a full-time day schedule.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Assist with minor urology procedures and document findings accurately in the practice's designated system
- Administer medications, collect labs, and initiate diagnostic testing as directed
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety protocols, and organizational policy adherence
- Monitor supply inventory and ensure medical equipment is functional and available
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
