About this role
AdventHealth Sanford ER is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its emergency department in Sanford, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required.
- TNCC, CCNS, or other emergency/critical care certifications — preferred.
- At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience — preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and EKG interpretation skills.
