About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Emergency Department RN for its La Grange, Illinois hospital, with an 11a–11pm midday shift and a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patients' physical, mental, and emotional health status in the ED setting.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and evolving patient needs.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by collaborating with physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans continuously based on outcomes and patient responses.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to keep all parties informed and engaged.
### What we're looking for
- Active RN license (required); Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of 12-lead EKG experience required; 1+ year of acute hospital experience preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS, CEN, TNCC preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing skills and emergency department competencies.
- Ability to apply abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans.
- Proficiency navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs and clinical documentation systems.

- Pay range: $33.60–$56.52/hr (approximately $69,888–$117,562 annually).
