About this role
AdventHealth Medical Group is hiring a Lead Hospitalist at AdventHealth Porter in Denver, CO, to combine direct inpatient care with physician leadership responsibilities for the Hospital Medicine practice.
### What you'll do
- Lead monthly Hospital Medicine practice meetings, including agenda preparation, speaker coordination, and post-meeting dissemination of minutes to physicians and APPs.
- Represent the practice in quarterly C-Suite leadership meetings and serve as a standing member of the facility Medical Executive Committee.
- Mentor, coach, and course-correct physicians and APPs through direct observation of clinical performance and structured feedback.
- Collaborate with CDI, revenue cycle, and Hospital Medicine leadership to identify and act on documentation and coding improvement opportunities.
- Liaise with the ED, nursing, pharmacy, ancillary services, and other service lines to support efficient care coordination and risk management.
- Lead and participate in physician and APP recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing provider engagement planning.
### What we're looking for
- MD or DO with active Colorado licensure and eligibility for facility medical staff credentialing.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with established Hospitalist experience.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including comfort serving as a visible role model and practice spokesperson.
- Working knowledge of documentation, coding, reimbursement, and hospital medicine operations.
- Strong relationship-building skills for engagement across clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement in patient outcomes, safety, and experience.
