About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a full-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse for the midday/night shift (1p–1a) at AdventHealth La Grange in La Grange, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of ED patients' physical, mental, and emotional status and develop individualized care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, adhering to established protocols and patient safety standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists to ensure integrated patient management.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans based on outcomes, and document assessments, interventions, and results in the medical record.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge planning to support smooth transitions from hospital to home or post-acute care.
- Supervise nursing and support staff activities, ensuring adherence to care standards and regulatory requirements.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred.
- Valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP per unit requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of 12-lead EKG experience — required; 1+ year of acute hospital experience — preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing with ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions under pressure.
- CEN and/or TNCC certification preferred.

- Pay range: $33.60–$56.52/hour ($69,869–$117,562 annualized).
