About this role
An Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty Therapy role is open at AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida, supporting a faith-based health system's outpatient specialty pharmacy program.
### What you'll do
- Educate and counsel patients, families, and care team members on safe and effective medication use across ambulatory and specialty therapy settings.
- Review and monitor medication orders and patient profiles to prevent, identify, and resolve drug-related problems, including pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments.
- Engage in interdisciplinary care coordination, ensuring smooth transitions from admission through discharge and follow-up.
- Perform pharmacist functions including compounding, dispensing, verification, and documentation across central, satellite, and IV areas.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, accreditation activities, and performance metric tracking.
### What we're looking for
- Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) in Florida — required.
- PharmD preferred; Bachelor's degree minimum required.
- PGY1 residency with ambulatory/specialty experience, or 3 years of relevant work experience (preferred).
- PGY2 in Ambulatory Care preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficiency with EHRs, pharmacy informatics systems, and medication automation.
