About this role
AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Certified SPD Technician for night shift at its hospital campus in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Select appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
- Operate complex sterilization equipment, choosing the correct sterilization method per manufacturer instructions.
- Review and sign all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
- Ensure sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
- Apply principles of microbiology, aseptic technique, and infection control to sterile supply operations.
- Support clinical teams by maintaining instrument readiness and preventing cross-contamination.
### What we're looking for
- Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Tech) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) — required.
- High school diploma or equivalent — required.
- Knowledge of instrument use, operation, assembly, disassembly, and cleaning requirements.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and infection control principles.
- 1+ year of related sterile processing experience — preferred.
- Technical/vocational training in healthcare sterile processing — preferred.

- Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour ($35,589–$56,950 annualized).
