About this role
AdventHealth Waterman is hiring a full-time, night-shift Certified Patient Care Technician at its inpatient facility in Tavares, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient rooms for new admissions, including vital sign equipment setup, and orient patients upon arrival.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, transfers between beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, and respond to call lights.
- Document personal care, intake and output, vital signs, weights, and patient records accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collect and label patient specimens at bedside and route them to the laboratory.
- Report changes in patient status promptly to appropriate clinical personnel.
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and serve as a liaison among patients, families, staff, and medical personnel.
### What we're looking for
- Active CPCT/A, CNA, or EMT certification (one required).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1+ year of patient care experience (preferred).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
