About this role
A full-time Diagnostic Cardiology RN role at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, Illinois, supporting cardiac patients with comprehensive nursing care on a day shift.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle dimensions.
- Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Perform and interpret EKGs per unit-specific requirements and advanced life support protocols.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (required).
- 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative care team.
