About this role

AdventHealth Kissimmee is hiring a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse for its Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Kissimmee, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required. - EKG competency per unit requirements. - 1+ year of acute care hospital experience — preferred. - Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53 – $52.24 (approximately $65,582 – $108,659 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off beginning day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Kissimmee is a full-service acute care hospital located at 2450 N Orange Blossom Trail, serving the greater Kissimmee and Osceola County community.
