About this role
AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time, night-shift Registered Respiratory Therapist on a StaffFlex contract basis at its Daytona Beach, Florida hospital.
### What you'll do
- Deliver routine and continuous respiratory treatments including aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, lung expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene
- Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation, determining ventilator mode and settings, and facilitate the weaning process
- Draw and analyze arterial and capillary blood gases, place arterial lines, and recommend changes in respiratory management based on results
- Reevaluate the patient-ventilator interface every four hours, respond to alarms, and troubleshoot as needed
- Monitor patient progress using pulse oximetry, peak flow measurement, chest X-ray, and lab data to guide care plan adjustments
- Coach and instruct patients before, during, and after treatment across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree from an approved respiratory care program (required)
- Active Florida RRT or CRT credential — state or NBRC-issued (required)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- 1+ year of critical care experience (preferred)
- Competency in intubation, airway management, and ventilator management across all patient populations (preferred)
- Neonatal Med Certification and/or S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification (preferred)

The respiratory therapy team operates across critical care and general inpatient units with 24/7 coverage.
