AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is hiring a Director of Nursing for Surgical Services at its hospital in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Lead and develop nursing teams across surgical services, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and staff empowerment.
- Oversee clinical and operational performance, serving as a liaison for interdepartmental communication and seamless care coordination.
- Develop and manage the annual department budget in coordination with Finance, monitoring resource utilization and adjusting as needed.
- Analyze patient, physician, and employee satisfaction data to build and execute unit-level action plans.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, organizational policies, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Recruit, retain, and develop nursing leadership talent, building a strong leadership pipeline for the surgical services division.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required); Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Services Administration (preferred).
- 2+ years of Circulator or Scrub nurse experience (required).
- 2+ years of healthcare leadership experience (required); 5+ years of related experience (preferred).
- CNOR certification (preferred).
- Demonstrated competency in budget management, human resources, and clinical leadership.
