About this role
AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time Interventional Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional procedures at its Tampa, Florida hospital.
### What you'll do
- Perform complex diagnostic and interventional procedures under radiologist direction, operating fluoroscopy and real-time imaging systems for accurate procedural guidance.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field, adhering to infection control standards and radiation safety principles (ALARA) throughout all procedures.
- Administer contrast agents as directed, following safety protocols and monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Participate in time-out and procedural verification processes to confirm correct patient identification, procedure, and site.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems.
- Manage inventory and supply needs, including checking expiration dates, stocking supplies, and reporting shortages.
### What we're looking for
- Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R)(ARRT) certification (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree in Radiology preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in interventional or diagnostic radiology (preferred).
- Working knowledge of fluoroscopic equipment and PACS applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and independent judgment skills.
