A Consumer Access Specialist (PRN) at AdventHealth Murray registers patients and manages insurance verification at the Chatsworth, Georgia facility on a Thursday–Saturday night shift (11p–7a).
### What you'll do
- Register patients for services, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance data while preventing duplicate medical records.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain pre-authorizations within established timeframes.
- Generate patient financial responsibility estimates and collect payments or set up payment plans.
- Conduct Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage (ABNs) as required.
- Serve as the communication bridge between patients, insurance representatives, and clinical departments, documenting all interactions accurately.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- 1+ year of customer service, relevant healthcare, or revenue cycle experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EMR) systems.
- Solid understanding of insurance benefits and the ability to interpret benefit information.
- Familiarity with CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred.
### What's included
- Pay range: $15.89–$25.43 per hour (approx. $33,051–$52,894 annualized).
- PRN schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 11p–7a day-shift differential may apply.
